MARCH SESSION

FEB SESSION

Designed for those with little to no previous experience, this hands-on course is an introduction into the essentials. We provide you with the basic fundamentals from design, composition, veneering, machinery, tooling and finishing techniques. Each student will craft their own premium end-grain chopping board as a starter project. You’ll get a better understanding of the nature and characteristics of timber in an interactive and approachable setting. Students will take home a strong foundation of woodworking, practical knowledge, and confidence in tools.

Learning outcomes in this course:
Initial Designing Stage, Material Selection and Composition, Material Behaviours, Machining, Laminating Timbers, Veneer Techniques, Power Tools, Hand Tools, Finishing Techniques and Product Selection
